About me.
Sarita De Castro nació en Colombia y recibió un diplomado en Bellas Artes de Smith College y una maestría en Educación con especialización en la enseñanza de arte de Columbia University. Se casó y radicó en Panamá hace casi 30 años, siempre disfrutando de la naturaleza y el arte. En el año 2014 participó en el concurso de ramos de novias en la iberiada latinoamericana ganando primer premio otorgado por el World Flower Council. Obtuvo el European Master Certification en Bélgica bajo la dirección de Tomas de Bruyne e Hitomi Gilliam, primera y única panameña en obtenerlo. Una de las cosas que más disfruta es la parte creativa del arte floral entre esto su proyecto de "flores en la calle" y asistir a talleres de otras floristas de alto nivel internacional para aprender de ellas.
Sarita de Castro was born in Colombia and got her BFA from Smith College. Later, she earned her Masters in Education with a concentration in art education in Columbia University. After getting married, Sarita moved to Panama and has lived there for almost thirty years, enjoying her nature-and-art-filled life. In 2014, she won first place in the Bridal Flower Bouquet Contest during the "Iberiada Latinoamericana de Arte Floral" hosted by the World Flower Council. She got her European Master Certification in Belgium under the tutelage of Tomas de Bruyne and Hitomi Gilliam, becoming the first Panamanian to have obtained it. One of the things that she most enjoys is the creative side of floral art, along with her "Flowers in the Street" project and attending workshops hosted by other florists around the world.
